Victor De Almeida
Festival Director
Victor De Almeida is a writer, director and producer based in Luton whose various short films have amassed over thirty festival selections across the world. He is motivated by visceral stories with a deep social message.
He co-founded Phoenix Rising International Film Festival with frequent collaborator Ewa Habdas in order to further submerge himself into film and build a new film community in an underrepresented region.
Ewa Habdas
Festival Director
Ewa Habdas is Polish - British producer and director based in London. She has produced several short films including; A Shadow of Dara which was shown at over 50 film festivals and won over 18 awards. In 2021 she directed her first short film: Azrael.
She says: “Filmmaking is a very hard and difficult lover, it takes every bit of life from you, but it is a lover
I cannot imagine my life without, as witnessing the birth of the dream into life is the best thrill ever.”
